To scan a QR code, simply open your phone's camera app and point it at the QR code. The camera automatically detects and decodes the QR code, displaying the associated information or link. You may need to tap a notification that appears on your screen to open the associated link.

If you’re unable to scan the QR code to pay for parking, you can use our convenient Text-to-Pay option by texting the location code to the number posted on the signage. Yes. Vehicles displaying a government-issued Disabled Veteran license plate are not required to scan the QR code to register for payment when parking in on-street spaces or in River Parking area lots.

For privately owned lots in the Downtown area, please refer to posted signage, as different rules may apply.

Not all locations require payment! ParkNBTX offers a variety of free parking options throughout the downtown area.

If you choose to park in an on-street paid parking area, the first hour is free to park in Downtown New Braunfels. Guests/Individuals/Visitors must register their license plate and phone number. Whether you are parking for 15 minutes or all day, you must register your license plate and phone number to park.

First, scan the QR code on the Park NBTX parking sign to open the link in your mobile device's browser. Then follow the instructions below that may vary depending on your mobile device.

Android - Chrome

1. To the right of the address bar, expand the drop-down menu by tapping the three-dot icon.

2. Select Add to Home screen OR Install app (depending on the device).

3. A new window will appear. Click Add or Install.

iOS - Safari

1. Tap on the Share icon at the top. This looks like a square with an arrow pointing upwards.

2. Select the Add to Home Screen icon.

3. Tap on the word Add in the upper right-hand corner.

$100 standard fine, due within 30 days or a $65 reduced fine if paid within 10 calendar days. If not paid by 30 calendar days, an additional late fee of up to $65 may be assessed. First offenses generally will not result in a citation but instead, a vehicle in violation will receive a Welcome Notice to inform the owner of the new managed parking procedures and encourage compliance.

Unpaid parking will result in a citation. Multiple unpaid citations may lead to your vehicle being immobilized, and if it remains unpaid for too long, your vehicle may be towed.

The Resident River Parking Permit allows eligible locals to park for free at most of the City’s river access parks, including parking lots on:

• Hinman Island Drive

• East San Antonio

• Elizabeth Avenue Lot

• Cypress Bend Park

• River Acres Park

• Mill Street

EXCEPTION:

Please note that the Resident River Parking Permit does not provide free parking at Prince Solms Park, where the parking fee is $20 during the summer season, which runs from May 1st to Labor Day.
